It has been a while since we have posted. Like, a LONG while. But, we are back & we are excited to share with you all we have been up to! As you know, we spent the majority of our month of March in a far off land called Nepal. While we were there we were able to partake in a photography workshop. We learned so much while we were away & we can not WAIT to be able to share those photos with you! While we were at the workshop Alex started dabbling in the idea of starting to shoot FILM photography. Film is a beautiful, timeless art of photography that is coming back in style quickly. When we got home from Nepal, Alex purchased his first film camera & has been absolutely rocking it since! We wanted to give you a glimpse into some of his work & how it differs from digital. When a digital camera takes a photo it is merely taking an impression of what the camera is seeing while on the other hand, a film camera is burning the exact image onto the film. You can also think about it as an MP3 file vs. a record. An MP3 file is smooth while a record holds a little more character and beautiful imperfections to it. The same thing happens with digital vs. film photography. Here is a wedding below that I shot digital while Alex shot film. You will be able to tell the difference & see how much truer the FILM photos are to colors!
With all of this being said, we are EXTREMELY excited to announce that we are now incorporating FILM into all our wedding collections. We hope that you enjoy these photos & THANK YOU, friends, for trusting us with one of the best days of your life. We love being able to play a small role into making your day a dream!
